Sustainable lubricants & real savings across the glassmaking process

For over 170 years, CONDAT has distinguished itself by providing the industry’s least impactful lubricants, with a special focus on operator health and environmental sustainability across various application fields. At Glasstec Düsseldorf, CONDAT will highlight how its lubrication solutions help glass manufacturers achieve real and measurable savings.
Sustainable lubricants. Real savings.
CONDAT’s approach to sustainable lubrication goes beyond product formulation. It is driven by a clear ambition: helping customers enhance production performance while reducing resource consumption, waste, energy use and operational constraints.
This commitment translates into delivering tangible benefits throughout the glass production process:
- LESS consumption à lower dosage, optimized use, extended product lifetime
- LESS rejects à superior release performance, high-quality surface finishes and more consistent production
- LESS waste & residues à cleaner processes, easier equipment cleaning
- LESS downtime à high lubricating power, longer tool life and reduced maintenance
- LESS carbon footprint à more environmentally responsible solutions, including the use of renewable raw materials
- LESS energy consumption à lower friction and high lubrication performance to support more energy-efficient operations
This approach is embodied in CONDAT’s broad range of high-tech and eco-designed lubricants developed to combine technical performance with greater protection for operators and the
environment.
CONDAT Group’s CSR performance has also been recognized with the EcoVadis Platinum Medal since 2021, renewed in 2026, placing the company among the Top 1% of companies assessed worldwide.
One lubricants partner. Real savings.
CONDAT works closely with glass plants to deliver tailored lubrication solutions that optimize processes, reduce total process costs and improve overall performance.
As a true multi-specialist, CONDAT offers a complete and consistent lubrication portfolio covering every stage of the glass manufacturing process and beyond:
- Shear lubrication solutions
- Lubricants for scoops and delivery
- Mould release greases, with or without graphite
- Dedicated solutions for IS machines
- Maintenance and cleaning products
- Mould pre-coating aerosols
- Hot-end lubricants, including solutions for conveyors and lehr arches
- Cold-end products for inspection operations and palletisers
This comprehensive approach enables CONDAT teams to assess each lubrication point as part of a complete process. The objective is to select solutions that support production quality, operator safety, equipment reliability and responsible consumption—while responding to the specific constraints of each plant.
New products featured at glasstec 2026
CONDAGLASS CUT 08
This water-based synthetic cutting fluid is designed for glass scoop and delivery-system lubrication. Its high lubricating performance helps reduce knife wear and prevent cutting marks on glass articles, while its low-foaming, highly bio-stable formulation supports reliable spraying and operation.
CONDAGLASS 394
Designed for hollow glass mould swabbing, CONDAGLASS 394 combines high release performance with a graphite content tailored to support article cleanliness. Suitable for a wide range of applications—including premium cosmetic, perfumery and pharmaceutical glass—it helps reduce surface defects and rejection rates.
Beyond hollow glass, CONDAT also addresses the specific needs of flat glass and optical glass manufacturers with dedicated solutions.
One example is the new CONDAGLASS FA 563, unveiled at Glasstec. This synthetic, water-based coolant is designed for mineral glass shaping operations. Combining high detergency, efficient silica transport, corrosion protection and rapid settling of glass particles, CONDAGLASS FA 563 helps keep both grinding equipment and process fluids cleaner. It also facilitates conventional filtration and water treatment.
More than 200 glass manufacturers worldwide rely on CONDAT solutions to enhance productivity, process reliability and operator safety. From shears, scoops and delivery equipment to
moulds and IS machine mechanisms, CONDAT provides high-value lubrication solutions for every stage of the glass manufacturing process, with one main objective: delivering high performance with a responsible approach.
With production capabilities across several regions worldwide, CONDAT brings its “Think Global, Act Local” commitment to life. By manufacturing closer to its customers, the Group helps secure supply, reduce lead times and transport-related emissions, while contributing to local industrial development.
