Leading the way in sustainable lubrication!

At Wire Düsseldorf, CONDAT reaffirms its position as a precursor and leader in responsible and sustainable performance for the wire drawing industry. With over 170 years of expertise, the French-origin, international lubricant group continues to innovate to reduce environmental impact while improving productivity and working conditions.

A complete CSR approach, from sites to solutions

Reducing impact at industrial level

  • –30% greenhouse gas emissions (Scopes 1 & 2 in 2026 vs 2023)
  • –60% water consumption (2026 vs 2023)
  • –30% gas consumption (2026 vs 2023)

CONDAT’s CSR commitment starts at its industrial sites, where concrete actions are implemented to significantly reduce environmental impact. Through industrial sobriety and energy transition initiatives, such as heat recovery, waste reduction, water recycling for cooling processes, optimized energy consumption and continuous investments in thermal insulation, CONDAT is actively lowering its greenhouse gas emissions, water usage and energy consumption across its operations.

Designing more responsible products

  • 50% of turnover done with eco-designed products
  • Borax-free products

This commitment extends to product development. CONDAT formulates biodegradable and eco-designed lubricants, continuously increasing the share of eco-designed products within its portfolio. The company adopts a responsible approach by limiting substances of concern and anticipating regulatory requirements at the earliest stages and designs its products to protect operators and the environment. In parallel, CONDAT conducts carbon footprint assessments on its products to further reduce their environmental impact throughout their life cycle.

Eco-use: consuming less, consuming better

  • Optimized use of wire drawing soaps
  • Reduced dust generation
  • Minimal residues and particles
  • Less waste

Beyond production and formulation, CONDAT actively supports customers in adopting more responsible practices. By promoting eco-use, optimizing lubricant consumption and reducing dust generation, CONDAT helps wire drawers consume less while producing better. For example, CONDAT’s wire drawing soaps do not burn, generate minimal residue, and allow prolonged use, significantly reducing the need for frequent replacement. This not only improves productivity but also enhances workplace safety by minimizing airborne particles and slippery surfaces. This global approach allows customers to improve productivity, secure working conditions and lower their environmental footprint throughout the wire drawing process.

Responsible logistics and packaging

  • 500 tons of CO2 savings since 2022 on transport
  • 5 tons of paper saved / year by reducing 50g/m² on paper bag

As a signatory of the FRET21 program (2021–2025), the company has already avoided 500 tons of CO₂ since 2022. CONDAT continuously optimizes deliveries and transport flows and works with committed logistics partners.

In parallel, new packaging solutions have been developed to reduce paper consumption and overall environmental impact.

Recognized CSR performance

CONDAT’s global CSR performance has been awarded the EcoVadis Platinum Medal since 2021, placing the company among the Top 1% of rated companies worldwide.

The company is also certified Choose My Company in France and recognized as a Great Place to Work in the USA, reflecting its commitment to a positive workplace culture and employee satisfaction.

A single partner for all lubricating operations,

from wire drawing to workshop maintenance

As a true multi-specialist, CONDAT is the only supplier able to provide a complete and consistent lubrication portfolio covering the entire wire drawing process and its related activities. The company supports all aspects of lubrication processes with internationally recognized soaps and surface treatments, including the SUMAC, VICAFIL, and STEELSKIN ranges. For immersed wire drawing and patenting operations, CONDAT’s soluble lubricants—VICAFIL SL, POLYTHERM, and CLEARCORD— deliver optimal process stability, performance, and wire quality.

Beyond production processes, CONDAT also addresses all maintenance and ancillary workshop lubrication needs. Its portfolio includes greases for capstans, cassettes and bearings, as well as hydraulic fluids, gearbox and gear oils, ensuring reliable operation of all moving equipment. For finished and semi-finished products, CONDAT offers dedicated corrosion protection solutions through the CONDAPROTECT range.

To further support complementary operations commonly associated with wire drawing workshops, CONDAT provides dedicated fluids and lubricants:

  • for cold heading: with outstanding vegetable-based-oil range, EXTRUGLISSS G, avoiding incompatibility between the process and the machine fluids
  • for heat treatment: safer and cost-savings Group III and polymer quenching fluids within the THERMASOL range

They ensure continuity and consistency across all workshop activities.

This single point of contact approach ensures greater responsiveness, simplified supplier management, and reduced coordination time. It also enables optimized and consolidated shipments, contributing to smoother operations, improved efficiency, and a reduced environmental footprint.

NEW at WIRE Düsseldorf

Latest solutions for electrical wire drawing

CONDAT will showcase its latest solutions dedicated to electrical wire drawing, once again demonstrating its ability to cover the full range of lubrication needs—from soluble lubricants to neat oils and greases—required for this highly demanding process.

Among the highlights, VICAFIL TCU 255, a new high-performance micro-emulsion for copper wire drawing, has been specifically designed for multi-wire drawing machines requiring excellent cleanliness, lubrication stability, and long bath life. It offers superior detergency, low foaming, strong resistance to bacteria, broad compatibility with metals and machine components, and extended service intervals.

PROTELEC 150, a cable grease compliant with European and international standards, provides reliable protection over a wide operating temperature range from –40 °C to +160 °C.

Completing the portfolio, VICAFIL TFA 1480 is a high-viscosity neat oil for copper electrical cable drawing, featuring excellent oxidation resistance and stable performance across all temperatures, ensuring consistent wire quality throughout the process.

Low-carbon: discover CONDAT’s Mass Balance approach

At Wire Düsseldorf, CONDAT will also unveil its low-carbon Mass Balance approach, designed to help customers reduce their carbon footprint without changing their processes or performance standards.

By combining actions across renewable or circular raw materials sourcing, production and formulation, this initiative makes it possible to decarbonize while keeping the same lubricant performance, quality and usage conditions.

Actively engaged in this transition, CONDAT invites visitors to exchange with its experts and explore how Mass Balance solutions can support a more sustainable wire drawing industry.
