CONDAT was first incorporated in Lyon, France, in 1854 by Louis Condat, a pioneer of the industrial revolution in Europe. The original activity of the company was the recycling of animal fat into industrial lubricants. Gradually, CONDAT diversified geographically as well as into different industries.

Today, CONDAT is present in every industrial market through manufacturing subsidiaries, sales subsidiaries, distributors and sales agents. Its World and European headquarters are located in Lyon, France, its North American operations are located in Ann Arbor, MI and its Asian operations are located in Hong-Kong.

CONDAT is today the world leader in lubricants and process chemicals used in the Tunnel Boring Industry. CONDAT is also dominant in performance lubricants for the wire-drawing industry. CONDAT is expanding its presence in the metalworking and metal forming industries with innovative and environmentally friendly products.
